Drakopoulos, partner of React in Greece and Cyprus, attended React’s Annual General Meeting in Rotterdam on 16-17 April 2026.

The event brought together members, partners, and key stakeholders from across the anti-counterfeiting ecosystem to foster dialogue and collaboration on current challenges and future priorities in customs and online enforcement.

This year’s central theme,”Advancing Anti-Counterfeiting: From Principles to Global Standards”, emphasised the necessity of a stronger, more unified global approach to enforcement. Particular emphasis was placed on the concept of ‘Know Your Business Customer’ (KYBC) as a shared responsibility, emphasising the importance of increased intermediary accountability in combatting illicit trade.

Key discussions focused on the evolution of online enforcement, including the practical impact of the Digital Services Act (DSA) and its effectiveness in strengthening cooperation with online service providers. The agenda also explored regional developments, sector-specific challenges and the role of technology, such as React’s OCEAN platform, in enhancing enforcement capabilities.

Participants also exchanged insights on customs enforcement practices and global coordination efforts, reinforcing the importance of cross-border collaboration in tackling counterfeit goods.

We are committed to supporting the development of robust, harmonised anti-counterfeiting standards and to contributing to a more effective global enforcement framework that protects brands, innovation and consumers.
