9th Mergers and Acquisitions in the Technology Sector Conference

Drakopoulos Partner Petros Fragkiskos attended the 9th Mergers and Acquisitions in the Technology Sector Conference, organised by the Corporate and M&A Law Committee and the Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), which took took place in Barcelona, Spain on 12–13 March 2026.

The conference brought together leading practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest developments and emerging trends in technology transactions.

Topics covered included the impact of the EU Data Act on technology deals, developments in AI and M&A, ownership and liability issues in the era of generative AI, investment models for data centres, and strategies for negotiating with angel investors.

Practical aspects of tech transactions were also discussed, including post-closing adjustments, consortium deals, and unlocking value in SaaS, cloud, and open-source assets.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange insights with international peers and explore the evolving legal and regulatory landscape affecting technology-driven M&A transactions.
