Drakopoulos and React hosted a Product Identification Training seminar in Athens on 11 June, for 75 Customs, Hellenic Police, the Financial Crime Unit, Coast Guard and the Hellenic Ministry of Finance. The event was organized under the auspices of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The seminar raised awareness about goods infringing intellectual property rights, while twenty-eight globally well-known companies, members of React, offered training on their brand protection strategies, demonstrating ways to identify counterfeit goods quickly and effectively.

Drakopoulos’ partner, Michalis Kosmopoulos, stated: “This training initiative is another milestone in the constructive and ongoing collaboration between brand owners, enforcement authorities and the business sector. It highlights the collective commitment of all parties involved to intensify their joint efforts in tackling counterfeiting and protecting intellectual property rights.”

Velentina Prgomet, React’s Regional Manager for the Balkan countries, expressed her gratitude to the authorities and the Chamber for participating in this important brand protection training. She emphasised that law enforcement professionals play a crucial role in safeguarding intellectual property and combatting counterfeit goods – efforts that are vital for ensuring consumer safety and maintaining brand integrity.

A special mention goes to the Drakopoulos team – Achilleas Charokopos, Evangelia Vaia Galli, Flora Chalakatevaki and Georgia Kalakou –   who were instrumental in coordinating the event and also took part in delivering key aspects of the training.

Participants widely acknowledged the seminar as a successful initiative, offering valuable insights and actionable takeaways.
